About

Amanda is a qualified dog trainer & behaviour consultant who also has a passion for canine fitness and body awareness. Amanda has always had a passion for animals. She started working with farm animals and clicker training goats, then followed her dreams to Canada where she worked at Whistler Animal Shelter, gaining experience with rehabilitating rescue animals and also worked as a dog walker in the local area. This is where Amanda’s passion grew even more. Since returning home to Sydney, Australia, Amanda pursued dog training, where she worked at a dog boarding kennel, followed by creating Amanda's Dog Training Services.

She then worked for Guide Dogs NSW/ACT as a Puppy Development Advisor, where her passion for puppy development grew even more, before pursuing pet dog training again. Amanda then moved to the Central West NSW to set up life in the country with her Border Collie, Max and two cats, Percy and Marli.

Amanda also has a strong passion for herding dogs and helping them in urban settings as well as providing education on herding breeds to help owners understand their special instincts. She has been exploring herding games with Max since he was a pup, with the hopes of pursuing herding competitions in the near future.

After gaining different experiences and knowledge, Canine Behaviour and Fitness was born! This name change represents the new direction of the business as Amanda follows her passions in dog training, behaviour and fitness.
